Privacy Notice

masad is a software studio. masad.io is our home site: it presents our work and includes a contact form and a newsletter signup. This page explains what data is processed on the site, why, and what you can do about it.

What is processed on the site

Usage data (analytics)

Basic analytics runs by default so we understand what works on the site and can improve it. You can turn it off at any time via "Cookie settings", and from that moment no new usage data is collected. Marketing cookies do not run until you explicitly accept.

Measurement is done with PostHog, a cookie-based analytics tool. It collects information about how the site is used: which pages are viewed, what actions are taken on them, and general browser and device data. The purpose is single: to understand what works on the site and improve it.

Details you send us

• Contact form: name, email, and a message. Used to get back to you and handle your inquiry, and for nothing else.
• Newsletter signup: your email, and a name if you provide one. Used to add you to the mailing list and send you the issues. Want off the list? Write to us and we will remove you.

Details sent to us directly by email are handled the same way. We do not sell your details and do not pass them to others, beyond the infrastructure providers that run the site and the measurement.

Technical data

The site is hosted on Vercel. Serving the site involves processing basic technical data needed for operation and security, such as the IP address a request comes from.

Cookie categories

The banner defines two categories: analytics and marketing. Today only analytics is in use; no marketing tool runs on this site. If that changes, it will run only according to your choice in the same settings.

What this rests on

• Basic analytics runs by default, and you can turn it off at any time. Marketing cookies run only after you explicitly accept.
• Details you submit in forms or by email are processed to handle the inquiry they were sent for.
• Your banner choice is saved in your browser so the site remembers it on future visits. That is its only job.

How long data is kept

Correspondence and inquiry details are kept for as long as they are needed to handle the inquiry and stay in touch with you. Analytics data is kept with the analytics provider; you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Changing your choice and withdrawing consent

Open "Cookie settings" on the site and choose "Necessary only". From that moment on, no new usage data is collected, and your choice is saved for future visits.

Your rights

Under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, you have the right to review data held about you and to ask for it to be corrected. If additional law applies to you, such as the GDPR for visitors from the European Union, you may have further rights, including deletion or objection to processing. For any request, write to hello@masad.io and we will handle it properly and within a reasonable time.

Changes to this notice

When we update this notice, the current version appears on this page with its date. A material change to what is collected is presented again in the consent banner.
