Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

We believe the web should be usable by everyone. This site's accessibility is built into its own code, not bolted on: semantic structure, full keyboard operation, and color contrast are checked continuously as part of the development process.

Accessibility standard and level

  • Israeli Standard SI 5568 part 1 (2023), level AA (Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, reg. 35)
  • European standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1 (Directive (EU) 2019/882, the European Accessibility Act)

The unified code target this site is built to: WCAG 2.1 AA + SC 2.4.10 Section Headings (AAA in W3C; AA in SI 5568-1:2023)

The site partially meets the standard’s requirements, as detailed under known limitations below.

Accessibility measures implemented on this site

  • The site is built with semantic code: labeled navigation and content landmarks, one main heading per page with subheadings in correct order, and a skip-to-content link as the first keyboard stop
  • The entire site is fully keyboard-operable, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive control
  • The site’s colors meet the required AA contrast ratios in both display modes (light and dark), including the focus indicator, enforced by an automated check on the theme file
  • Forms carry a label associated with every field, and error and confirmation messages are announced to screen readers
  • The site honors the operating-system reduced-motion preference: animations are disabled for users who ask for that
  • Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers, and icon-only controls carry an accessible name
  • The site is served in Hebrew and English, with the reading direction and language declared correctly on every page

Known limitations

  • Newsletter issues are authored in the content-management system. The content components keep a correct heading structure, but new content may contain small structural deviations until it is reviewed

Environments tested

  • Current Chromium: automated checks (axe-core), a full keyboard traversal, and an accessibility-tree read
